It is an extraneous activity that requires a lot of determination and perseverance owing to the harsh conditions you may have to go through to make it to the top. You are exposed to various dangers that may even cost your life. Once you do it you qualify to withstand most f the life challenges that are considered to be unbearable in life. This is not an easy feat to achieve and that is why you need to ensure you lay down an effective plan for the feat. There are however some factors that one should consider before and during climbing Mount Kilimanjaro.

Plan your route effectively. If you can do it through the longest route the better. This will give your body enough time to acclimatize with the mountain area weather. This is very vital for it to easily adapt to this new environment making your experience is one that you will always live to remember.

Avoid backpacking during the rainy season. If you do not want to risk suffering from Hypothermia, then consider having your hike during the dry season. Again you are going to enjoy more as your clothes will dry faster once you wash them during the exercise.

Physical training prior to the hike is inevitable if you want to succeed and get to the summit. Mount Kilimanjaro is not a technical mountain, therefore, it is not easily accessible. In addition to having a good body shape, you will require a lot of physical effort to get to the summit. Ensure that you hiking in your physical training. If you are not able to do a hike you may consider training on a stair machine.

During the challenge, you will experience constant weather state changes. When you think that the day will be hot, you may be baffled to find it change drastically to snow. Based on this changing weather state, ensure that you have the correct wear that will shield you from these eventualities. Confirm whether you have climbing boots, an insulated jacket, and a waterproof coat.

Try as much as possible to carry a small package. This will make it easier for you to move around. The best thing about climbing Kilimanjaro is that you may have a set of porters who will move your items from one campsite to another.
