By Matthew McDonald

Athletic completion can divide people. It puts people into teams and then pits those two teams into a simulated conflict against each other. But watching athletic competition brings people together, because millionaires playing games is fun. A lot of people will try their hands at sports for various reasons. Many admire the skill and agility gained in basketball. Many try American football because they just loathe not having a concussion so much. But even those who do not have athletic ability need a sport and that sport is bowling. For people who can substitute athleticism with money, there is golf. For those that do, there is golf cart rental Tybee.

Golf is a pastime where a player swings a stick at a ball and hopes it goes into a hole some distance away. Wherever the ball lands, the player follows and swing their stick again to get the ball into the hole. So on and so forth until a set number of holes, usually about 18, has been played. Scores are tabulated by how many strokes it takes to get to the last one. The person with the lowest score wins.

Now, the sport does have a certain socioeconomic reputation in society. It takes a lot of leisure time needed to play a whole game, and a lower income person working multiple jobs is not going to have the time to spare. The courses themselves can be prohibitive, as several of the most well known courses are privately owned membership clubs and club dues can be expensive. The equipment also comes at great financial cost. The iron clubs can cost thousand. Vintage, wooden clubs can cost tens of thousands. This not factor in the cost of renting a vehicle or tipping a caddy.

Many business dealings are negotiated on a course. Players often have to be wealthy and wealthy people often make deals to stay wealthy or to get even wealthier. As such, it can be seen as ultimate expression of capitalism.

The game is played on course. Now, the they can have all sorts of obstacles, like water features and sand traps. But all courses will be comprised mainly of grass.

Because of the size of a course, a cart is needed to get around. Otherwise, a person may have to walk upwards of five miles just get to the eighteenth hole. The carts also make it easier to lug the heavy bag full of iron clubs and spare balls around.

But country clubs are far from the only place that uses such vehicles. Private security personnel often use similar vehicles to get around quickly, especially in large area such as college campuses, certain government facilities, and airports.

Getting such a vehicle is easy enough. There are many available via a dealer and dealers are everywhere. Renting one is also easy, as most places will have them at the ready for members.

The sport is seen as exclusive, and the places where it is played most definitely are. But the vehicles are a little more egalitarian. Anyone can drive a cart, not just golfers.
